Alternatives
Alternatives is an investment outside of the four traditional asset classes (Cash, Bonds, Property and Equities). Alternatives can include, but are not limited to precious metals such as gold and copper, as well as investments in water infrastructure and agriculture. Details of the different Alternatives funds you can choose from are listed below.
Gold
The Gold Fund is a unit-linked fund that gives you the opportunity to gain exposure to movements in the price of gold. It does this by investing in an Exchange Traded Certificate (ETC), which aims to track the spot price of gold in US dollars.

Indexed Global Energy and Metals
The Indexed Global Energy & Metals Fund is a unit-linked fund that gives you the opportunity to gain exposure to commodity returns.
(Formerly known as Global Commodities Fund)
- Assets include: Precious Metals, Industrial metals, Energy.
- Fund is priced in Euro but the bulk of the commodities are transacted in US$ and as such a currency risk arises for a euro investor.
Indexed Commodities
The Indexed Commodities Fund is a unit-linked fund that gives you the opportunity to participate in the performance of commodities including energy, grains and industrial and precious metals.
