Willie White

Willie White is a graduate of UCD and Trinity College, where he scraped through Masters degrees in English Literature and Irish Theatre respectively, distracted by his involvement in drama societies and independent theatre. His first ‘proper job’ was working on RTÉ’s Later with John Kelly, followed by the first two seasons of The View. In 2002 he was appointed as Artistic Director of Project Arts Centre and since 2011 he has been Artistic Director of Dublin Theatre Festival. Other roles include Artistic Director of Dublin Youth Theatre from 2007-2010, and three terms on Dublin City Council’s Arts Culture and Leisure Strategic Policy Committee. Willie is a board member of Phizzfest Community and Arts Festival and was appointed as Chair of Aerowaves Europe in 2020.
