New and enhanced Car Insurance benefits

We’ve reviewed our covers and made some exciting enhancements to our products.
We’ve created a new Comprehensive offering called Zurich Car Plus which has higher limits of cover.*
Summary of changes:
- We’ve simplified our offerings – our standard offering will now be called ‘Zurich Car’, which is available for Comprehensive and Third Party Fire and Theft.
- Our new enhanced offering called ‘Zurich Car Plus’ will be available – subject to eligibility - and will include enhanced limits of cover. Please see the attached for a full overview.
- A new policy booklet has been created and this will apply to both new offerings. The policy schedule has been improved and will now describe the selected offering and the specific limits of applicable benefits.
- We will be increasing the amount of our business written and maintained on Full Cycle EDI. There will be some procedure adjustments in the coming months, but the outcome will be positive, allowing you more control. Our risk appetite will continue to be communicated through the Applied Relay system.
Policy benefits updates:
- Comprehensive cover will now include Homestart Breakdown assistance as standard.
- Third Party Fire and Theft now has Roadside Assistance, Medical Expenses, Replacement of Locks, and other benefits as standard.
- We’re extending Accessories cover to include aftermarket roof boxes, roof bars/racks, bicycle racks and tow hitches, and Personal Belongings cover is extended to include contents locked in any roof box.
- A new €300 contribution cover has been added under Foreign Travel for breakdown, continuation of journey, and overnight accommodation due to vehicles repairs, has been included.
- We’ve also added cover for Electric/Plug-In Hybrid vehicle charging cables, up to €400, and wall chargers up to €750.
